Obituary of Lena Dribnenky
Lena Dribnenky passed away at the age of 97 years, at Maidstone Health Complex, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on April 2, 2024 after 93 days in the hospital with her son and daughter-in-law by her side.
Lena is survived by: her children, Bryan (Lois) Dribnenky of Lloydminster and Sharon Blackford (Eli Gushaty) of Sherwood Park; grandchildren, Simon (Angie) Dribnenky of Tulliby Lake, Gregg Dribnenky of Lloydminster, Scott (Kathy) Blackford of Kamloops, Leah (Ken) Bullis of Sherwood Park; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Anthony, Austin, Alicia, Julia, Caitrin and Eden; sister, Emily Blackford of Penticton BC; brothers, Billy (Violet) Saxer of Evansburg, Irvine (Sara) Saxer of Stony Plain AB, and Fred Saxer of Evansburg; special niece, Audrey Kyfiuk; and numerous nieces and nephews of the Saxer and Dribnenky families.
Lena is predeceased by: her loving husband, Peter Dribnenky; parents, Willie and Frieda Saxer; sister and brother-in-law, Freda and Frank Babcock; brother, Hans Saxer; brother-in-law, Bill Blackford; son-in-law, Douglas Blackford; nephews, Frankie Babcock, Donald Blackford and Pete Kyfiuk.
The Memorial Service for Lena will be conducted from McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, AB on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
Donations in memory of Lena may be made to St. John's Anglican Church, Alzheimer's Society or donor's charity of choice.
