Gwendolyn Alfreda Thornton passed away at Lloydminster Continuing Care Centre, Lloydminster, AB on August 12, 2024 at the age of 86 years.

Gwen is survived by: her children, Tracy Delorme, Ronald Thornton, Kelly (Tammy) Thornton and Jody Thornton; grandchildren, Alex, Taylor, Braedan, Jenna, Blake, Riley, Tyson, Kennedy and Josh; sister, Darlene Bush; brother, Garry Sandstrom (Diane); brother-in-law, Barry (Barb) Thornton; sister-in-law, Mary Jean (Rod) Tymchyshyn; son-in-law, Bartley Killam; and numerous extended family and friends.

Gwen was predeceased by: her husband, Gerald Thornton; daughter, Geraldine Killam; parents, Emma and Alfred Sandstrom; sisters, Maxine Geck, Marlane Sandstrom and Calvin Sandstrom; and mother and father-in-law, Marjorie and Earl Thornton.

As per Gwen's wishes, no service will be held.

Donations in memory of Gwen may be made to Lloydminster Continuing Care Centre.
