We were so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. Our deepest sympathy is with Geraldine and family. My few years playing ball with Supe and the Colts were some of the best.
Many of the tributes talk of Larry's wonderful sense of humor and great personality, I couldn't agree more.
Supe you will be missed.

We send our condolences to you Geraldine and your family on Larry’s passing. Larry had a smile for everyone. He was a great community supporter. Larry got the old post office clock going again and for many years made sure the annual parade moved along smoothly.
May the many good times you had together help you through this sad time. We have lost a very good man

To Larry's Family and Many Friends...
We were so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. We will never forget his sense of humor and his "Olynyk from the Clinic" when he called to deliver a purchase. Lots of laughs!! Only Larry could deliver a joke or have an interesting, funny point of view!! We remember Larry winning Grand Champion 4-H Steer in around 1966. A very good steer for the time...probably getting 50 cents a pound for a Champion animal. It was the 60's!!
Sorry we could not attend his Celebration today.
Condolences to all.

Our heartfelt condolences to Geraldine and all of the family and dear friends of Supe. We were shocked and very saddened when we heard the news that Supe was no longer gracing this physical world we luckily shared with him. Supe was a grace in the world of so many, and will be missed. I’m thankful that I just recently had a short chinwag with him at a Sandy Beach market and I must admit and with the most respect, I said “well son of a bitch, there goes a good one”, but then I smiled and thought about the greeting and social he received by those other characters and friends of his who went before him. Until we meet again, Rest In Peace Friend!

Dear Ryan, Dustin, Geraldine and Families…We are saddened and so sorry to hear about Larry. We wish Geraldine, and all the family our love and sincere condolences. Our son-in-law Ryan spoke highly and often about his ol’ Dad and shared many stories with us. We met Larry a few times over the last 8 years. We will always remember his sense of humor, his sarcastic nature, his deep voice muffled by that incredible mustache and just the sincereness and friendliness of his company. Ryan and Tanis will miss him immensely as will his grandchildren Abigail and Malcolm. Love Shirlee & John Lamacchia and Families

Hello Geraldine and all of Larry’s family.
We were so sad to hear of his passing and want to send our condolences.
Sheldon & I are in the US and won’t be able to attend Larry’s funeral in Monday. We will be thinking of him & of you guys.
I have lots of warm memories of Larry from our years at Sandy Beach, where he worked tirelessly to kmprove the park & to make it a fun place to be.
One particular memory comes to mind.
We had a slow pitch tournament
When I got up to bat, Larry was the pitcher. He gently pitched a perfect strike & I slammed it good. It was a grapefruit painted white!!! It exploded!! And after the initial shock, so did we all (in laughter) :)
I’m sure life with Larry was always interesting & we’re sad to think of your loss.
We hope & pray you can find comfort from the thoughts and prayers of support for you from the community he always loved.
Love,
Brenda & Sheldon Servold

It’s with shock and sadness that I am writing about a great friend. I was asked to describe Larry in a word “CHARACTER” was my answer. He was also the most honest and trustworthy friend that a person could wish for. Larry, will be missed but never forgotten.

Supe was definitely one of a kind. As others have stated, he always had a smile, a laugh or a story. One of the things I recall from the "earlier" days, was when Larry refereed hockey. He was always ahead of his time, but some might recall that he was one of the first referees anywhere to wear a helmut. He knew what was important to protect! A great guy and will definitely be missed... RIP Supe!

Geraldine and family, our sincere condolences on Larry’s passing.
Wow…I’ve known Larry 65+years and judging by several names on this site, I’m not the only one. We will all miss his humor, sly grin, and his honest caring for all friends, family, and the community he loved so much. He had a true gift of remembering everyone even if he hadn’t seen them in years. My generation relied on him to keep us UpToDate on other classmates and friends not seen in years. We will all miss him immensely.
I always enjoyed having lunch with Larry when visiting Lloydminster. He was a breath of fresh air who could always make you laugh. Whenever we went out for lunch, I would find a seat and wait for Larry while he talked to everyone in the eatery. It was just amazing to me to “see him work the room” …he knew everyone and really was happy to see them.
We don’t get to be friends with many like Larry during our lifetimes. He left us far too early but I am sure he is now entertaining Rick, Ron, Brian, Dale and unfortunately other classmates who have also left us too soon. I will be thinking of you Larry next time I hear fireworks!

Geraldine and family our sincere condolences. I was so fortunate to have Larry as a friend in my life. Larry was great at keeping in touch since high school. He remembered my birthday and hearing his voice always was a highlight. Larry was kind enough to house some of us at the 20 year school reunion. Such a fun weekend and great memories. Rest in peace Larry. We will miss you.

That is the perfect photo of Larry. Moustache as big as the smile as big as the head full of endless ideas, creativity and enthusiasm. Genuinely happy and always sincere it was always a treat to drop in to see Larry even decades after I left Lloydminster. That's also the prefect shirt in the photo. Now I'll always wonder--is that the northern lights, or did Larry smuggle fireworks in to heaven ?

I am so very sad to see this news. I met Larry in elementary school and remember him as a kind, caring and fun-loving guy. I recall our 20 year high school reunion and Larry had a variety of clothes from the sixties that some of us modelled for the fashion show we had. Larry had several pairs of bell bottom pants and we girls had a good laugh about getting into “Larry’s pants!” So many great memories! I am sure Larry will be missed by many people as I know he would have had a huge circle of friends. My sincere condolences to all his family.

He was such a great man, He never failed to light up someone’s day and talking to him was like a breath of fresh air. He used to joke that I was his little girlfriend and whenever I saw him he would yell “QUIN THE ESKIMO” as that was his nickname for me. He was a really fun neighbour and I will miss him and his laughter. He never failed to keep a conversation enticing, and is the type of person that you won’t find again. I will always see him as a role model and think about him in my daily decisions, as he was super smart and could build anything. If you walked passed his house it was guaranteed he was out building something,With the occasional scare of him jumping out from behind something to scare the crap out of you and your friends. He was extremely awesome and I will miss him and our visits a lot. I’m so sorry for your loss I know it’s hard and I wish Geraldine and his family- the best. -Quin Garrison
