Jim, Colleen, Rick, Eileen, Brian & Families How sad I was to hear of Muriel's passing. She was a great person, always wearing a smile & always willing to help people. It was a pleasure to work with her for many years as she was an amazing teacher. My two children were very fortunate to have her as their Grade One teacher. Anytime such a wonderful person passes from this life to the next, we all feel a terrible loss. Muriel was my "summertime" mother, taking care of me during my youth when I was done school in Edmonton. I still have clear remembrances of the dinners with Muriel and Doreen cooking huge quantities of food for all of the cousins, and of course, the after dinner card games! Coming back again for Muriel and Jim's 60th wedding anniversary reminded me again of the power of love between two individuals. Jim with his gentle wit and wisdom, Muriel with her patience and understanding. Such a positive influence on anyone they came into contact with. I am sad that Muriel is no longer with us, and I feel so fortunate that I was part of her life in some small way.

The Hozack family: We are saddened by the passing of such a lovely lady, amazing teacher, generous community volunteer & best gravy maker. For those who have enjoyed a roast beef meal by Colleen's Catering, will know what I'm referring to regarding the gravy, mmm good! Colleen always told me it was her Mom who made the gravy whenever I'd compliment her on it. She was "Mrs. Hozack" to so many of us. What a wonderful legacy she has left behind! It warms my heart to think of her & Doreen together again but this time serving in heaven's kitchen. I'm sure when she's not needed there,she'll be teaching God's children to read. May all your precious memories of this special lady bring you peace of mind & heart. HUGS to all!
