Obituary of Nataio Naistus Redwood

Nataio Nevada Naistus Redwood passed away in Regina, SK on October 5, 2034 at the age of 23 years.

Nataio was born to Dominic Stonechild and Glenna Redwood on April 14, 2001, in Lloydminster, SK. He was a kind-hearted and thankful young man who showed great respect towards others. Nataio had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to joke around with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

Nataio was the most loving person, always showing affection to those around him. His outgoing personality and warm spirit made him a joy to be with. He cherished his siblings and adored being with his family. Nataio had a special bond with his stepmother, Melissa, and he loved his parents dearly. He enjoyed playing video games and spent his time surrounded by those he loved. 

Nataio was known for his big heart; even when he seemed indifferent, his caring nature shone through. He was always willing to help others without hesitation and loved everyone who loved him. Nataio was passionate about basketball and volleyball, and he loved traveling to pow-wows. His favorite animal was the wolf, which reflected his spirit. 

Nataio is survived by: his father, Dominic Ryan Naistus-Stonechild; mother, Glenna Redwood; stepmother, Melissa Chief; brothers, Dean Chief, Maverick Naistus, Riddic Redwood, Malachi Chief; sisters, Amirrah Redwood, Daisy Chief, Holly Stonechild, Savanna Chief; cousins that he took as his sisters, Sashianna and Nokshia; cousins, Natasha, Chasity, and Ocean Hotomani, who he was very close with; his grandmother, Janet Naistus whom he deeply cherished will hold on to the memories that she shared with him; great grandfather, Bruce Naistus; his uncles, Shane Redstar, Skyler Redstar, Timothy Naistus, Eric Naistus, Trevor Dillon, Randall Littlewolfe, Warren Littlewolfe, Conrad Dillon, Clinton Naistus; his aunts, Marla Dillon, Amanda Dillon, Trisha Naistus, Leanne Naistus, Thundra Tedstar, Beverly Redstar and Kelly Redwood, and numerous cousins on both sides of the family. 

Nataio is predeceased by his great grandmother, Josephine Naistus, and his grandmothers, Cordilleia Redwood, Sheila Redwood his grandfathers, Wesley Redstar, Eric Kenny Stonechild, Joseph Naistus and Marvin Naistus and his Uncles, Curtis Niastus, Byron Redwood, Raymond Mcleod and his auntie Candice Redwood. 

The Wake will be conducted from Onion Lake Log Church, Onion Lake Cree Nation, SK on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 12 PM.

The Funeral Service for Nataio will be conducted from Onion Lake Log Church, Onion Lake Cree Nation, SK on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 11 PM.
