Penny will be forever loved and remembered.

There is so much we can say about our sister Penny, she was very compassionate, humble, considerate and cultural. She was simple but extravagant. She loved everyone around her, making sure everyone was doing good. Very family orientated, she took care of everyone in her own ways. Her sickness never once held her back from accomplishing anything that was thrown at her. If she wasn’t working, she was being the best Kokum she can be. Everywhere she traveled to she made a lot of friends who turned into family. She loved her jewelry, everywhere she went she bought rings and necklaces. Basically, anything that sparkle. She made sure she looked beautiful before venturing out or even just staying at home. She loved to laugh and play and tell jokes, sometimes she laughed at her own jokes.  She loved playing stick games and traveled all over Canada and USA. Where she met the majority friends who turned into family. She loved her crafts and also liked playing cards. She loved people and being around them but she didn’t like being center of attention. Penny raised her sister Rhonda as her own and co-parent Nevada. Creedance also came into the family and was raised as their own baby. He gave Howard and Penny 4 wonderful Chicim boys who was very dear to Penny’s heart. They are her everything, they were her life. She was the best Kokum.  Howard and Penny have been together for 46 years and married for 36 years. They married right on her birthday and was also Mother’s Day. She convocated from Social Work in Saskatoon in 2001, worked in the field for many years. She worked with Onion Lake ICFS for 3 years, Makwa Sahgaiehcan as a Guidance Counselor for 5 years. Also worked with OL Education (CTS, Pewa) in the amount of 5 years as well. She was determined to do her best in her career which she did great. When she worked in Loon Lake for 5 years, she travelled in from Onion Lake every day. Good and Bad weather.
Penny was the second child born to Annie Bearboy and Sam Child. She was raised by her grandparents Joe and Isabelle Bearboy. She was raised in the traditional way, way she is very cultural. She passed on her wisdom to her family.
She leaves behind: her loving husband for 46 years, Howard; her son, Creedance (Hailey); her chicim boys, LeBron, Takeda, Kingsley and Angel; The sister she raised, Rhonda; She also leaves her other sisters, Caroline Lorenz, Nora Trottier, Jessie Stone, Connie Dillon, Geraldine Crookedneck and Gail Takekenew; uncle, Calvin Bearboy; aunties, Flora Bearboy, Eloise Bearboy and Hannah Chief; and brother and sister-in-laws who were also close to her as well.
