BIOGRAPHY KELLY ~ Elizabeth "Betty" May Kelly passed away peacefully in Edmonton, Alberta on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the age of 73 years. Betty will be sadly missed by her six children: Paul Kelly & Sandra Clarkson of Lloydminster, Phil & Shea Kelly of Lloydminster, Pat & Carole Kelly of Lloydminster, Robert Kelly of Okotoks, Susan Kelly of Lloydminster, & Mac & Adelle Kelly of Lloydminster; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters: Helen Shirreff of Vermilion, Dorothy Oulette of Edmonton; two sisters-in-law: Betty and Cliff Dick of Kelowna, Sheila and Lloyd Vasicek of Sherwood Park as well as numerous other relatives. The memorial service was conducted from the St. John's Anglican Church, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Cameron Burns. The eulogy was read by Richie Davies. The hymns sung were "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace". A private family interment took place in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks Our family would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Chan, Dr. Kostic, Dr. Kerlis, Dr. Rogers, and the entire support staff of the Lloydminster Hospital, all of whom assisted and cared for our beloved Betty. A special thanks to family members who helped us created the perfect service including: Reverend Cameron Burns of Edmontons St. David's Parish (Nephew); musical accompaniment and vocal solo by Jamie Burns (nephew); scripture ready by Susan Kelly (daughter) and David Vasicek (nephew); verse from 10, 000 Days shared by Russel Kelly (grandson); prayers lead by Kelly Paukszto (niece) and private reverence and reflection at interment by Pat Kelly (son). We are extremely grateful to Richie Davies for the beautiful eulogy he composed and the relevant scripture he selected to honor Betty's memory. A heartfelt thanks to all who traveled, sent flowers, cards , donations and those who brought food to our homes, you are too kind. Great Gratitude is felt towards the entire St. John's Administration. Reverend Stonhouse for his hospitality, Pat Skinner for her help coordinating our wishes and all the lovely women who put on a charming lunch after the service. Thanks are not enough to express the immense appreciation the Kelly Family has for Glenn McCaw and everyone at McCaw Funeral Service for all they do to ease one's responsibilities at such a sensitive time. Donations in memory of Betty may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
