FABER ~ Mayme Gladys Faber passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the age of 91 years. Mayme still loves her four children: Morris & Barb, Bert, Gregg & Melanie and Sandra & Jim; her grandchildren: Cam, Robin widow of Shawn, David & Natasha and their two children Ivan and Spencer, Michael, Colleen, Frank & Patti, Hank, Mark and Baran. Mom/Grandma was predeceased by her parents, eight siblings, her husband Hank Faber, daughter Janet Lynn and her grandson Shawn Faber. The Celebration of Life was conducted from the Grace United Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Sue Hertell officiating. The eulogy was given by Cam Faber and a Tribute given by David Faber. The Grace United Church Choir was in attendance singing “Jesus Savior Pilot Me” & “His Eye Is On The Sparrow”. Hymn sung was “Just As I Am” accompanied on the piano by Margaret Venance. As family entered the church, Piper Tyler Shaw played “Amazing Grace” and a “Piper’s Lament” at the graveside. The Order of the Royal Purple provided an honor guard. The Urn Bearer was Frank Tremmel. Recessional “I Just Called To Say I Love You”. Interment was held at the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS Our family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Dr. Cooke, Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster Home Care and Dr. Hemstock Assisted Living Residence for your kind and gentle care of our Mother. Thank you to Dr. C. Chan for your many years of care giving. Our fmaily would also like to convey our sincere thanks to Dr. T. Kerlis for ‘being there’. A “Special Thank You” to Piper Tyler Shaw who traveled many miles. I know Mom would have been “Smiling Down” Tyler. Thank you to Reverend Sue Hertell, pianist Margaret Venance, Grace United Church Choir, and The Order of the Royal Purple for making “Mom’s Day So Special”. Thank you to the Royal Purple Ladies and the Grace United Ladies for preparing and serving lunch. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who sent flowers and cards, food to our homes, called or visited. We thank you for the donations made in memory of Mom/Grandmother/Great Grandmother. A “Special Thank You” to Mom’s good friend Clara Reid for all your help and support. Thank you to all who traveled to attend Our Mother’s Celebration of Life. To Glenn McCaw and his staff, our families thank you for all your support, help and thoughtfulness during this heavyhearted time. Mayme Faber’s Family Donations in memory of Mayme may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donors choice.
