Obituary of Raymond Besse

BIOGRAPHY BESSE ~ Raymond “Ray” Verne Besse passed away peacefully at the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Raymond will be sadly missed by his wife Agnes; son-in-law: Bob & Monica Oryniak of Hinton; six grandchildren: Stacy Oryniak, Michael Oryniak, Chelsey Oryniak, Ashley Oryniak, Nicholas Pihowich, Nathan Pihowich; two great grandchildren: Tristan and Gabriel Massisscotte; two sisters: Shirley and Edgar Booth, Joyce and Vern Custer as well as several other relatives. The funeral service was conducted from the Bethel Lutheran Church, Tulliby Lake, Alberta on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Bob Aldrich officiating. The eulogy was read by Jim Hines. The solo was “Amazing Grace” sung by Yvette Barnett. The hymn sung was “Just A Closer Walk With Thee” accompanied on the organ by Kevin Nelson. A Legion Honor Guard was in attendance. The active pallbearers were Jim Hines, Marty Hines, Philip Booth, Bob Oryniak, Daryl Blanchard and Lionel Benson. Interment took place in the Bethel Lutheran Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS Agnes and family would like to thank family, friends and neighbors. We thank you so much for cards, flowers, food brought to the house and donations in memory of Ray. We also would like to thank you all for being there for us at this sad time. A sincere thank you to Jim Hines for reading the eulogy, the pallbearers and to Glenn McCaw for being so kind and understanding. Special thanks to Bob and Monica for all their help and being here with me. Thank you to Kevin Nelson for the music, Yvette Barnett for the beautiful singing and to Pastor Bob Aldridge for the very nice service. Donations in memory of Raymond may be made to the Bethel Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donors choice.
