SO SORRY TO HEAR OF LAURENCES PASSING. REMEMBER MANY A FOND TIME SPENT IN SPRUCE LAKE AND JUST OVER COFFEE WITH FRIENDS. OUR REGARDS ARE SENT TO ALL. FEEL SORRY. THINKING OF THE FAMILY AT THIS PERTICULAR BAD TIME. THIS POEM I WROTE A FEW YEARS AGO WHEN I FIRST INTERESTEING IN GETTING PUBLISHED AND WOULD LIKE TO OFFER IT TO SAY MY CONDOLACES FOR THE LOSS OF A LOVED ONE. Ode to Bluebird Fallen In The South Barn Whispering walnuts Trees in heat Brown eggs the rooster comes to roost and lentils growing wild the fields that roll on high Boiling my ear lobes and makes me screech glee's mist descends as you sail by Precipitation On satins dyed cataracts infused with harems crying lake loons sighing Of dogs tresses so blue so blue so blue my soul And you- you in red silk shoes and woe the snail in me-You Me and you and you doth to me a daisy chain doth bring Fishing and finding infantile tribunal Rubberstamps and fathers old green reading lamp all gone gat nay gat nay gat gone Dew in the midsummersnight abashed rodeo Paste and scrub pink bubbles off my tear stained lips Afterglow and weasels song Oh longing forsaken- sake of juice falls in my ears Manito and curling bonspiels Remit redress recount the years the beers the cheers Adirondack chairs at Bright Sand lake The wake the steak the old clambake And Elvis movies-he was still there, his black shining luxuriant hair we were young We danced we dined we so fine sublime like birds swallowing all A gladentide of escarole Sauce and couplets overflow Don't go the birdie twills in snow Wretchedness regrets forsooth forsooth we all grow longer in the tooth A booming thunder thong Smothered in waxen floods and paupers cinders Peptobismal colored tears aflowing glowing slowing down the days the rays of gloom my doom In my little lonely room Frizzled nettled fond fond so fond our memories Of when we rumbaed at Minnehaha Oh be swined the days draw nigh to gladdentide I remember oh dear friend an ode to thee I muster, I get flustered Rest now is virtuous and fly on braised wings of milky butter beans.
