Keith was born on July 25, 1921 in Wing (just outside of Meota), Saskatchewan. He was husband to Marjorie (Wouters); father to Keith (Ruth) of Luseland, Dale (Lori) of Calgary and Murray (Cheryl) of Langham; son to Harry and Edith; brother to Ernest (Wilma) of Edam; grandfather to: Keith and Ruth's Children, Kim (Joel) and their children Kalin and Brock, Corey (Karla) and their child Heidi; Dale and Lori's children, Ashley, Jenna, Courtney and Rachel; Murray and Cheryl's children, Kaitlin, Bri and Jessica. Keith was predeceased by: Marge, his loving wife of 49 years; his parents, Harry and Edith; his father and mother-in-law, Cor and Elva Wouters; his brother, Ernest; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry and Mildred Washbrook, Wilfred and Dorothy Elliot, and Ken and Gertie Beaton. Keith was a sportsman, playing high levels of curling, ball and hockey. He coached provincial champions and sat on the executive of many boards. Keith was an avid hunter and fisherman spending many hours with family and friends along the shores of the North Saskatchewan River and on the waters of Turtle Lake. Keith's actions spoke louder than his words. He was a man who valued honesty, truth, and was respectful to the world around him. During his life, he modeled a character of integrity and citizenship. Dad, Papa, will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. The Memorial Service was conducted from the Trinity United Church, Edam on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 with Suzanne Edgar officiating. A thank you to all who shared in Dad's life. A special thanks to the staff at the Lady Minto for their remarkable care!
