Dear Family members, It is with sadness that I read the notice of Hilda's passing. I recall many special memories of her time on the board of directors of the Canadian Cancer Society. As a valued board member, she had significant input into the business and affairs of our local unit. As manager of the Unit, I looked forward to the many times she and her friend Dorinda would stop by my office on their way to the Co-op just for a little chat, or sometimes just to take a minute to sit and rest. She would often bring a bag of what she dubbed "her mistakes" but what actually was delicious cookies or other treats! We all looked forward to her terrific sense of humour and her good, sensible advice. She was a fine soul, and she will be missed!
