PROCTOR ~ Lloyd George Proctor passed away at the Riverside Health Complex in Turtleford, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the age of 86 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Nellie, and his brother, Cameron. Lloyd will be sadly missed by his brother, Milton Proctor and his three sisters Lynden Shier, Pat (Bill) Bingham and Monica (Bob) Blacklaws, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his caregiver, Shirley Rogers. The funeral service was conducted from the Mervin United Church, Mervin, Saskatchewan on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Ken Keller officiating. The hymns sung were "Shall We Gather At The River", "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and "Abide With Me" accompanied by Noreen Williamson. The leader of song was the Mervin United Church Choir. A tribute prepared by Milton Proctor was read by Tom Brown. The eulogy was given by Lloyd's niece, Beryl Timpany. Honorary pallbearers were all of Lloyd's friends. Active pallbearers were Roy Olson, Melvin Scott, Ken Chambers, Robert McNinch, Victor Proctor and Tom Brown. Interment was at the Mervin Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Turtleford, Saskatchewan administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS The family of the late Lloyd Proctor would like to thank the staff at the Riverside Health Complex for the wonderful care given to Lloyd. We would also like to thank all those who helped with the funeral, especially Reverend Keller, Noreen Williamson, the pallbearers, the choir, and the ladies who provided the lunch. We especially thank Milton Proctor, Tom Brown and Beryl Timpany for the moving tributes to Lloyd at the funeral. Thank you to all those who attended, sent cards, flowers, and donations. Thank you to McCaw Funeral Service Ltd. for their excellent service. Finally, we thank Shirley Rogers for all her kindness and care which enriched so much the final years of Lloyd's life. Donations in memory of Lloyd may be made to the Mervin Rec Board or to the Turtle River Health Centre.
