BIOGRAPHY BROOKS ~ Marjorie Betty Mary Brooks passed away peacefully at the Jubilee Home in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the age of 95 years. Marjorie is survived by her cousins in England and Australia; her Godsons: Dr. David Waalen of Toronto and Reverend Don Skinner of Turtleford as well as special friends Eileen Yaxley and Pat Skinner. The funeral service was conducted from the St. John's Anglican Church, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Michael Stonhouse officiating. Don Skinner read Bible selections and sang "In The Bleak Mid Winter". St. John's Choir was in attendance. The hymns sung were "This Is My Father's World", "Blest Be The Tie That Binds" and "Praise The Lord Ye Heavens" accompanied on the organ by Pat Skinner. The recessional was "Praise To The Lord". Honorary pallbearers were All Those In Attendance. Active pallbearers were Jim Kenyon, Doug Hoffman, Dr. Ray Rogers, Len Long, Bernard Walker and Don Jenkins. Interment took place in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS On behalf of Marjorie's relatives and Godsons, Pat Skinner and I would like to thank the following: Reverend Michael Stonhouse and Reverend Don Skinner for officiating at the service, St. John's choir and organist, the active pallbearers, the O.E.S. and Masonic members and A.C.W members who attended as a group, all her friends who attended this celebration of Marjorie's life, the ladies of St. John's Minister and the O.E.S for supplying and serving the delicious lunch, and McCaw Funeral Service for their excellent and caring services. Eileen Yaxley Donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to the St. John's Minster or to a charity of the donors choice.
