BALL ~ Coleen Margaret Ball passed away peacefully at the Lloydminster Hospital on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the age of 59 years. Coleen was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on January 9, 1949. She lived on the farm near Paradise Valley for her first nine years, then went to Red Deer to attend the Provincial Training Center. Coleen then moved to Michener Center where she lived until 1995; then moved to a Bea Fisher Center group home. Coleen was able to live there until January, 2008 when she moved to the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Center. Coleen will be missed by her Mom Eileen Ball of Lloydminster; sisters Dorothy (Glen) Cooper, Kitscoty; Naomi (David) Broemeling, Paradise Valley; five nieces Brenda (Brad) Rieland, Lloydminster; Sharlyn (Tony) Graham, Kitscoty; Connie Cooper (Francis Lavoie), Fort, Saskatchewan; Glenda (Ryan) Armstrong, Edmonton; Sarah Broemeling, Lloydminster. Two nephews Roger and Allan Broemeling, Edmonton. Three great nieces Aleshia and Leah Rieland; Brooke Graham. We will think of Coleen's smile, her joyous laugh and remember her with affection. A memorial service was conducted from the Paradise Valley Community Hall on Friday October 24, 2008 with Lois Greenlay-Burwash officiating, accompanied, on piano, by Bev Haydu. Interment was held at the Oxville Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. THANK YOU We wish to acknowledge the excellent care Coleen received over the years - to Michener Center, Bea Fisher Center, St. Walburg Health Complex, Jubilee Home, Dr. Cooke Extended Care Center, all staff and Dr.'s at the Lloydminster Hospital. Also, Brenda Rieland, Sarah Broemeling, Lois Greenlay-Burwash for her comforting service and caring; Bev Haydu for music; United Church ladies for lunch; friends and staff at Hemstock Residence. Thank you to Dale and staff at McCaws for their help and support; to everyone for cards, food to our homes, flowers and donations in memory of Coleen. Thank you to family and friends for all your kind words, love and support. Eileen, Dorothy and Glen Naomi and David Donations may be made to the Persons with Developmental Disabilities.
