My tribute to my good friend Wid I extend my heartfelt sympathy to The Dow family with special affection for Margeret who as looked after Wid for many years with love and devotion. We will all miss Wid but we know he his now in Gods care and suffering no pain and is at peace and rest. He will always be with me as a inspiration of a man who achieved so much in his life under the disability he had. The first time I heard his name ,Wid Dow, was as a small boy when my,greatgreat uncle Ernest and aunt Nell Waring were visiting family in England in the 1950,s,why I remember, there is perhaps some reason better known by God or our destiny,as in 1972 I visited My family in Canada and met Wid for the first time, and from then on we became very good friends and also with his family and now I feel as one of the extended family of the Dows. There is some thing very special about true friend ship,it lasts for ever.It is to be valued highly. I have visited Canada many times over the years and always a visit that was a must that was to see Wid and Margeret and each time we enjoyed each others company,Wid and I would often chew the cud together and put the world to rights or at least I did. When I first met Wid I was amazed how he could do field work with his tractor adapted to his needs and drive the car and always that smile, some thing special there even to the end.Over the years I have seen the changes in his life and his needs for care and at his side the ever strong and caring Margeret and his children who did so much for him also.In this time he still remained a very interesting and very strong man and should be a inspiration to us all in what man can over come. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there,I do not sleep I am a thousand winds that blow I am the diamond that glints in the snow I am the sun on ripened grain I am the gentle autumn rain When you awaken in the morning,s hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quite birds in circled flight I am the soft stars that shine at night Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there,I did not die. Let Wid be a inspiration to us all Love Graham My wife Carol, mother Betty and son Robert, all share your loss and will be thinkng about you at this time with much love

Hello Dow Family It is with deepest, deepest sympathies I send to you all. Your Dad was a great man and left an amazing legacy. I will never forget his smile. No matter where or when you seen him, he always had that big smile that would warm up a room instantly. He lived his life with confidence and continued forward no matter what. I admired your Dad and always will. Whoever had the honor of meeting him would have been so blessed. Look at all your children and grandchildren and know they have the twinkle of his eye and the smile of an angel in each and everyone of them. God Bless you all. Sincerely Marilyn
