BIOGRAPHY
HOLMAN ~ Grace Holman passed away peacefully at the Norwood Capital Care Centre, Edmonton, Alberta on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at the age of 82 years.
Grace will be sadly missed by her daughters: Dianne Kudryk and John Leonard, Sharon and Wilf Lumley; her step daughters: Rose and Ed Wilder, Ramona Puchalsky, Diane and Tony Bell; one step son Ernest and Shirley Holman; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sisters: Nelda Morrison, Neta Skelton, Maxine Amos; sister-in-law Olive and Jim McGarry; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Grace was predeceased by her husband, Steve Holman, in June 2007.
The funeral service for Grace was conducted from the Grace United Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Sue Hertell officiating.
A eulogy was given by Carol Bugiak.
The hymns sung were "One Day At A Time", "Amazing Grace" and "Be Not Afraid" accompanied on the organ by Donna Weston .
Active pallbearers were Bruce Sutherland, Jamie Sutherland, Leo Bugiak, Al Airdrie, Paul Guhl and Rick Arndt.
Interment was held at the Lloydminster City Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
CARD OF THANKS
We wish to express our sincere gratitude for the many acts of kindness shown to us since the passing of our mother, Grace Holman. The food, flowers, phone calls, cards and expressions of sympathy were very much appreciated. We would especially like to thank our extended family - the nurses in Unit 5E3 at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton for their endless hours of dedication, commitment and love given to our mother. We wish to say a special thank you to Reverend Sue Hertell for her words of comfort, the organist, Donna Weston and to the church ladies for the lovely luncheon. A heartfelt thank you to Carol Bugiak for paying tribute to our mother in her thoughtful and caring eulogy. Thanks also to the pallbearers and McCaw's Funeral Home for their guidance in making the arrangements.
