B I O G R A P H Y MARFLEET: Florence Mabel "Dolly" Marfleet passed away in the Maidstone Health Complex, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at the age of 90 years. Dolly is survived by: three children Gordon Marfleet of Maidstone; one daughter Margaret Bubel and her husband Shane of Fort Saskatchewan, Rodney Marfleet and his wife Brenda of Maidstone; grandchildren - Cheryl, Andrea and Jeffrey (Pam), Randi (Justin), Alisa and Christopher; Chance and Adam, Teddy, Travis and Troy and two great grandsons Jaxson and Hayden, a daughter-in-law Brenda Eisner of Togo, one brother Bud Porter of Chilliwack, one brother-in-law Garry and Desa Marfleet of White Rock, two sisters-in-law: Winnie Dillabaugh of Mission, Edna Marfleet of Vancouver as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A prayer service for Dolly was conducted from the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Friday, August 8, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial was conducted from the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. with Father Phong Tran officiating. A eulogy was given by Dr. Barry Dick. Music was provided by organist Kathy Franks and the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church Choir. A solo recessional "Ava Maria," was sung by Rita Giraudier. Honorary pallbearers were: Cheryl Marfleet, Andrea Marfleet, Randi Rutley, Alisa Marfleet, Jaxson Rutley and Hayden Rutley. Active pallbearers were: Teddy Marfleet, Travis Marfleet, Troy Marfleet, Jeffrey Marfleet, Christopher Marfleet, Chance Bubel and Adam Bubel. Interment followed in the Maidstone Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks Thank you to everyone who supported us in the loss of our sweet mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Dolly Marfleet. To all who sent sympathy via cards, letters, phone calls, flowers, contributions, food and hugs; to Father Phong Tran for the comforting service and for visiting mom in the lodge giving her faith and spiritual support; to organist Kathy Franks, soloist Rita Giraudier and the choir for their beautiful hymns; to Dr. Barry Dick for his tender, humorous eulogy, to Constable Jolyne Harrison for her Honour Guard on our way to the cemetery and to the Ladies Altar Society for the delicious lunch we thank you sincerely. Thank you to McCaw Funeral Service for their kindness and compassion with a special thank you to Glenn for all his support. A special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Pine Island Lodge who appreciated Mom's humour and enjoyed her every bit as much as we did. Their care and concern made the transition from home to the Lodge so much easier for Mom and Dad. Thank you all and God Bless. The Dolly Marfleet Family Donations in memory of Dolly may be made to the Pine Island Lodge Building Fund.
