Obituary of Pearl Weir

BIOGRAPHY WEIR ~ Pearl Weir passed away peacefully at the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Friday, July 11, 2008 at the age of 90 years. Pearl will be sadly missed by her son Don and Stephanie Weir of Kitscoty; grandchildren: Carrie and Dave Kohlruss of Lloydminster, Duane and Heather Weir of Regina, Tyson and Shawna Weir of Kitscoty; seven great grandchildren; two brothers: George and Julie Orlesky of Kelowna, Nick and Norma Orlesky of Kelowna as well as several other relatives. Pearl was predeceased by one son Robert Weir. The funeral service for Pearl was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Bob Aldrich officiating. A eulogy was read by Duane Weir. The hymns sung were "The Old Rugged Cross", "Amazing Grace" & "Just A Closer Walk" accompanied on the organ by Irene Knowlson. Honorary pallbearers were Lauren Weir, Tanner Weir, Chris Weir, Braeden Weir, Jordon Weir, Cianna Weir and Aleasha Weir. Active pallbearers were Carrie and Dave Kohlrus, Duane and Heather Weir and Tyson and Shawna Weir. Interment was held at the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks We would like to thank Dr. Snyman and Dr. Gerber, the Lloydminster Hospital staff and nurses and Lloydminster Home Care for their attention to Pearl. We would also like to thank Points West for their special care of Pearl. To Reverend Bob Aldrich and Irene Knowlson for helping to create such a memorable service. Thank you to everyone that brought food, made donations and phone calls, and stopped in for visits, it was all great appreciated.
