McGerrigle: Richard Gordon of Harlan, SK passed away on Friday, June 13, 2008 at the age of 80. Gordon was born on March 22, 1928 to John and Ethel McGerrigle in Glaslyn, SK. Gordon is survived by: his sister Mae Johnson of Prince, SK, his brother Ken and his wife Nancy of Harlan, SK, his sister-in-law Grace McGerrigle of Lloydminster as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gordon was predeceased by his parents John and Ethel, his brother Don, his brother-in-law Calvert Johnson and nephew Allen Johnson. The funeral service was conducted from the Harlan Hall on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Allan Young officiating. Eulogies were given by Dorothea Mayhew, friend and neighbor; Lorne Johnson, nephew; and Loraine Johnson, niece. The hymns sung were "The Old Rugged Cross," and "In The Garden," accompanied by Ralph and Alice Anderson and Gordon and Mary Howard. The pallbearers were: Lorne Johnson, Dennis Johnson, John McGerrigle, nephews; Doug Eaton, Heath Eaton and Shawn Mayhew, neighbors. Interment followed in the Harlan Cemetery. Card of Thanks The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Doug Eaton for organizing the opening of the grave and to all who helped. To Lanora Eaton for organizing the lunch and to everyone who provided the lunch and helped. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who brought food to the house, for all the cards, floral arrangements and donations made in Gordon's memory. A heartfelt thank you to the Fort Pitt Farms for all the help they provided. We extend our deepest appreciation to Reverend Allan Young for the comforting service. Thanks to Ralph and Alice Anderson and Gordon and Mary Howard for their ministry of music. Thank you to the pallbearers. Thank you to Dr. Pellessier and the nurses on the third floor of the Lloydminster Hospital for their compassion and care. A special thanks to McCaw Funeral Service for their kindness and compassion, with a special thank you to Glenn for all his support. The kindness that has been shown to us will never be forgotten.
