Everett David Lloyd of North Battleford, Saskatchewan passed away Jun 10th 2008 at the age of 81 years in the Lloydminster Hospital. Everett was predeased by his loving wife Marion (Sis) Lloyd March 9 1987 Everett was born in Arborfield, Saskatchewan on May 16, 1927; he was one of two boys born to Edith & Dave Lloyd. He was predeceased by his older brother Fred in 2007. Everett left home at the age of seventeen to drive truck, he drove for the Aborfield Co-op hauling oil and fuel for 2 years and then with Bradshaw Bros hauling lumber out of the bush into Carrot River. In the spring another job came up hauling gravel and he did that for a couple of years. He left Bradshaw Bros and went to work for Al's Trucking hauling fuel from the Co-op Refinery in Regina and distributed in the Aborfield/Tisdale area. In the midst of his trucking career he met the love of his life - Marion (Sis) Tetlock; they married in April of 1948 and shortly after that they started in the restaurant business in Arborfield & Carrot River. Everett and Sis were "Blessed" with 4 Boys - Dan (July 24/48, David (Sept 7/52, Dick (Dec 28/52) & Jim (Mar 22/62) After a few years in Carrot River they moved to Alsask, SK in 1963 where they ran the restaurant in the Hotel. They then had the opportunity to take over the Marshall Wells store for a few years. They ventured out and ran the 7-44 Esso - Service Station and restaurant business - during this time Everett drove the school bus. On the week-ends and holidays the boys helped out. Everett and Sis made a huge decision and decided to go into the hotel business, this meant they had to move - they sold their home in Alsask and moved to Wildwood, AB (80 miles west of Edmonton) where they spent 4 1/2 years. They then moved to Prelate for less than a year, then back to Alsask and then on to Marengo - all in the Hotel business. This is where the love of his life, Sis, passed away on March 9, 1987 A few years later Everett met Kay Pernitsky and moved to North Battleford, Saskatchewan, where he lived until he went into the hospital, he passed away peacefully in the Lloydmintser Hospital on June 10, 2008. Everett leaves to mourn his 4 boys: Dan (Dorothy) Lloyd, David (Brenda) Lloyd, Dickson (Donna) Lloyd & James Lloyd. 9 Grandchildren - David Lloyd Jr. (Rosemarie), Bonnie Tether (Steve), Carla Lloyd, Christine Lloyd, Lisa Harty(Jason), Kelly Lloyd, Lindsey Lloyd, Darrel Lloyd and Dean Lloyd and 4 Great Grandchildren. We would also like to acknowledge Kay and her Family from North Battleford, whom he was very close to for the past number of years. We would like to thank the third floor nursing staffs at the North Battleford and Lloydminster Hospitals, Dr. Dave Morton, and a special thanks to Dr. Raff Sayeed. Thank you to Dale and the McCaw family for assisting us during this difficult time. The Lloyd Families Donations may be made to the War Amps or to a Charity of the Donor's Choice.
