Oliver Nielsen
Born in Leipzig, SK on Sept 2, 1911
Passed away Friday, May 30, 2008 in the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Center in Lloydminster, AB at the age of 96 years
Oliver's wife Helen predeceased him on May 13, 2008. He is survived by three children: Kay Patterson of Camrose, Olive Nielsen of Calgary, Bob Nielsen and his wife Colleen of Streamstown; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
Oliver farmed at Streamstown, AB for many years; he was active in the community - the curing rink, Lloydminster Hospital Board, square dancing, toastmasters, church and the Masonic Lodge. They retired to Lloydminster and went to Arizona for the winters. Oliver will be remembered for his passion for life, for his devotion to his wife of 73 years and his love of family.

Funeral service was held in Lloydminster Grace United Church on June 3, 2008. Thank you to Reverend Bob Aldrich for encouraging words and to Sheryl Saville for the beautiful songs.
