BIOGRAPHY STEWART ~ John Noble "Jack" Stewart passed away peacefully at the Battleford Union Hospital, North Battleford, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the age of 90 years. Jack will be sadly missed by: his loving wife Mary Stewart of Mervin; children: Ronald Stewart of Mervin, Louise and Shannon Hood of Edam, George Stewart of Mervin, Linda and Don Sanders of Regina; John Stewart of Mervin, Mary and Glen Morrison of Battleford, Myrna and Darryl Schick of Mervin, Marla Stewart of Battleford; thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The funeral service for Jack was conducted from the Mervin United Church, Mervin, Saskatchewan on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Pat Ribey officiating. The hymns sung were "Amazing Grace", "In The Garden" and "Bringing In The Sheaves" accompanied on the organ by Noreen Williamson. Honorary pallbearers were All Those Who Shared In Jack's Life. Active pallbearers were Bill Williamson, Brian Edwards, Bruce Spencer, Gordon Spencer, John Warrington and Larry Tesch. Interment was held at the Mervin Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Turtleford, Saskatchewan administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Battleford's Union Hospital and the staff at River Heights Lodge for their care of Jack while he was there. Thank you to Pastor Pat Ribey and Noreen Williamson for creating such a memorable service. To the active pallbearers thank you so much for helping to honor Jack. Also thank you to all our friends and neighbors for your kind words and thoughts and to all those who sent cards, food to our houses, flowers and made donations and phone calls. Your kindness is very much appreciated in our time of loss. The Jack Stewart Families Donations in memory of Jack Stewart may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
