Obituary of Pearl Peters

BIOGRAPHY PETERS ~ Pearlie Teene Peters passed away peacefully at the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the age of 87 years. Pearl will be sadly missed by: her two daughters: Verna and Richard Saunders of Lloydminster and Phyllis and Ron Schaefer of Spruce Grove; six grandchildren Annette and Darcy Eskra of Killam, Alberta, Sheri and Todd Thorpe of Lloydminster, Micheal and Leasa Saunders of Marwayne, Alberta, Jeremy and Lindsay Schaefer of Spruce Grove, Alberta, Greg and Kelly Schaefer of Oakville, Ontario, Jason Schaefer of Edmonton, Alberta and twelve great grandchildren. Pearl was predeceased by her husband Richard, her parents, three sisters and three brothers. The funeral service for Pearl was conducted from the First Lutheran Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Nolan Astley officiating. A eulogy was given by Darcy Eskra. Hymns sung were "Rock Of Ages", "Amazing Grace" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" accompanied on the organ by Irene Knowlson. Active pallbearers were all her grandchildren. Interment was held at the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The family of the late Pearl Peters wish to thank the doctors of the Lloydminster Hospital - Dr. P. Naudé, Dr. R. Rogers and Dr. M. Chapelski. Thanks to all the medical ward and transition staff for the care given to her while she was in hospital. Thanks to the Lutheran Minister, Pastor Nolan Astley, for officiating the service and to the Lutheran Ladies for lunch. Also to McCaw Funeral Service for their compassion, care and guidance, as well as to everyone who phoned, sent cards and food.
