Obituary of Delma Donald

Donald: Delma Frances Donald passed away in the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Friday, January 25, 2008 at the age of 78 years. Del is survived by her loving children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Marlene and Bob Johnson of Edmonton / Lashburn, Cheryl and Jeff Colson of Lloydminster, Deb and Dean MacArthur of Lloydminster, Jim and Marilyn Donald of Lashburn, Barb and Bill Liscomb of Calgary and Laurie and Rolly Fournier of North Bay, Ontario; 14 Grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, sisters and brothers: Irene Hatinen, Victoria B.C., Lorraine Leeson, Victoria B.C., Jim (Viv) Sabraw, Rosedale B.C. Ray (Mel) Sabraw, Calgary, AB, Bob (Louella) Sabraw, Calgary, AB as well as numerous other relatives.
Del Donald (nee Sabraw) was predeceased by her loving husband Dood Donald, her bother Joe Sabraw and her sister Doreen Cooney.
The memorial service for Del Donald was conducted from the Lashburn Community Hall on Friday, February 1, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Father Phong Tran officiating.
The eulogy was given by Del's oldest grandson, Michael Johnson. Family members also gave a short tribute. Prelude music was played by Joe Klassen. Melanie Coote and Penny Orange sang special music tributes, "Amazing Grace" and "In the Garden". A private family interment followed at the Lashburn Cemetery. Card of Thanks
A bouquet of appreciation and thanks to Dr. Kerlis and the nursing staff of the Lloydminster Hospital. A special thank you to the staff and friends from Dr. Cooke Extended Care Home who spent time caring and socializing with Mom.
Thank you to those who send cards of sympathy, made donations on Del's behalf, requested Mass, visited our homes, brought gifts of food and flowers or expressed condolences in anyway, it was greatly appreciated.
Thank you to Father Phong Tran for celebrating mass and his words of comfort; to Michael Johnson for sharing Del's memories, to McCaw Funeral Home for their professional guidance, to Jo Klassen, Melanie Coote and Penny Orange for their musical contribution. We would like to extend a special thanks to those who were able to attend the funeral service and to the Lashburn St. Lucia Catholic Ladies for serving a delicious lunch.
We were overwhelmed by the generosity and thoughtfulness of all whom shared in our loss and would like to express our gratitude.
