Harriet "Hettie" Curtis (nee Weaver) passed away peacefully on January 24, 2008 at the age of 91. Hettie will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sheila & John Barton, Curtis Barton, his son Johnathon & Ashley Strauss and new great great granddaughter, Harley Barton. Crystal & Gary Vandenbroek, their sons Kiefer and Kale; Trent & Rhonda Barton, their daughter, Ashley Rae. Bonnie Fairbairn, Yvonne & William Koehn, their daughters, Alissya, Lauren and Rebecca. Garry & Cathy Gordy, their children Hannah and Stanley, Gloria & Gordon Kerr, their children Carli, Lon and Tesha. Wilfred & Linda Curtis, Daryl & Michelle Curtis, their children Stephen, Alexa and Bradyn, Damon & Sherry Curtis their daughters Jessica and Keira. Leslie & Donna Curtis, Christopher & Jackie Curtis, their children Elliott, Harrison, Amanda and Taylor. Bradley Curtis & Jennifer Hinke their daughter Teagan. Neil Curtis & Karen Gabruch, Sabrina Curtis & Alexander Schmidt, their daughter Cadence.
Hettie is survived by two brothers Jack Weaver of Lloydminster and Donald & Georgia Weaver of High River. Along with many Weaver and Curtis relations from in and around the Lloydminster area.
The Funeral service was held on January 30, 2008 at St John's Anglican Church with Reverend Peter Yeung officating. The Eulogy was given by Great Granddaughter Ashley Rae Barton. Active Pallbearers were the 11 Grandchildren.
Hettie lived a full and abundant life and she was a determined soul that blessed all of us with her presence as long as she could. We all loved her and will truly miss her shining sky blue eyes.
The Curtis Family would like to thank the staff of the Dr Cook Extended care centre, nurses of the Lloydminster Hospital, and the St John's Anglican Church Ladies for the lunch. With a special thanks for Dr. R. DuPlooy.
