Obituary of Laurence Stevens

BIOGRAPHY STEVENS ~ Laurence Henry Stevens passed away peacefully at the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Facility, Lloydminster, Alberta on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Laurence will be sadly missed by his brother Hugh of Lloydminster as well as several other relatives. The funeral service for Laurence was conducted from the St. John’s Anglican Church, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Monday, December 3, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Michael Stonhouse officiating. A eulogy was given by Richard Davies. Hymns sung were “Just As I Am” and “Lead Kindly Light” accompanied on the organ by Pat Skinner. Active pallbearers were Neil Wildin, Ken Weighill, Rick McKay, David Davies, Monty Christie, Gordon Stanley. Interment was held at the Northminster Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dr. Cooke Nursing Home. A special thank you to Reverend Michael Stonhouse, Pat Skinner and Richard Davies. Thank you to everyone who made donations, phone calls, sent cards, flowers and food to the house.
