BIOGRAPHY NICHOLSON ~ Norah Nicholson passed away in the Jubilee Home in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the age of 89 years. Norah will be sadly missed by her three children: Carol and Ed Sydora of Edmonton, L.B. and Anne Nicholson of Rivercourse, Debbie and Garry Flewell of Lloydminster; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren as well as several other relatives in Canada, the UK and Australia. The funeral service was conducted from the First Lutheran Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Howard Ulmer officiating. The eulogy was read by Kristin Como. The hymn sung was “In The Garden” and “It Is No Secret” accompanied on the organ by Shauna Cheriyan. A Legion Honor Guard was in attendance. The honorary pallbearers were All Those Who Shared In Norah’s Life. The active pallbearers were Norah’s grandchildren: Stephanie Adams and Rob Yule, Keri Adams and Jay Durant, Lionel and Tracy Nicholson, Mike and Pam Nicholson, Kristin and Steve Como, Derek and Amber Flewell. The interment was held in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS The family of Norah Nicholson wish to sincerely thank Dr. Lowton and Dr. Kostic and the staff of the Lloydminster Hospital and Jubilee Home for the care given to Mom over the past seven months. We wish to thank Pastor Howard Ulmer for his comforting words before and during the service. Thank you to McCaw Funeral Service for your professional handling of the arrangements and for your compassionate understanding. To all our friends and family for your calls, cards, food, flowers and donations in memory of Mom, we wish to express sincere gratitude. Your thoughtfulness and support during this difficult time was greatly appreciated. Donations in memory of Norah may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
