Obituary of Ruth Stevens

B I O G R A P H Y STEVENS: Ruth Victoria Stevens passed away in the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the age of 77 years. Ruth is survived by: her husband Hugh Stevens of Lloydminster, her sister Swea McGladrie of Westaskiwin, and six nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Ruth was conducted from the Grace United Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Joyce Carson officiating. A eulogy was given by Wayne Curtis. The Grace United Church Choir sang “In The Bulb, There Is A Flower.” The hymns sung were “Joyful, Joyful” and “Just As I Am,” accompanied on the organ by Pat Skinner. Honorary pallbearers were Eastern Star and all her friends. Active pallbearers were: Neil Wildin, Rick McKay, Ken McGladrie, Norm Thorpe, Doug Giffin and Glen Detchon. Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.
