I was looking at a map today, noticed Lloydminster and thought of Cliff. I was the bookkeeper at the Burnaby, BC Domtar Construction Materials Ltd. roofing plant from July 1972 to August 1973 when Cliff was manager.
I didn't know that Cliff had passed away, and offer my sincere condolences now to his family and friends.
As mentioned in the eulogies, Cliff had a wonderful sense of humour which we experienced many times in the office. And yes, he was very proud of his family - I remember him saying he became a father at the age of 19 and a grandfather at 39.
Cliff brought a TV set to the office for the final Canada vs Russia hockey game in 1972 - what an exciting afternoon that was!
Shortly before I left Domtar I remember Cliff saying he and Betty were leaving Vancouver to return to Lloydminster. I'm very glad to learn that they both had many happy years there, back home again.

Deepest sympathy to your family on Cliff's passing. Hard to forget all the stories we listened to at the GM garage, and fitting that he should pass on the 11th.

We are both so very sorry to hear of Cliff's passing. We both enjoyed hearing Cliff's stories while he sold automobiles for the Noyes dealership or just visiting in the Lloyd mall.
