BIOGRAPHY FOR THERESA COOLIDGE COOLIDGE: Sylvia Ann “Theresa Coolidge” (Nelligan) passed away in the Maidstone Union Hospital, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at the age of 66 years from Pulmonary Fibrosis. Theresa is survived by: her loving husband Howard of Lashburn; four children: Michael Coolidge and his wife Ada of Calgary; Shelley Coolidge and her partner Sue MacGregor of Ottawa; Allen Coolidge and his wife Rene of Saskatoon and Geraldine Coolidge of Lashburn; four grandchildren: Meagan, Coran, Brayden and Preston; three sisters: Bernice and her husband Bert Thompson of Lashburn, Sheila MacKay of Edmonton and Pat and her husband Wally Polinsky of Lashburn. Theresa was predeceased by: one sister Edna, two brothers Allan and Gerald and her parents Jim and Annie Nelligan. Theresa’s life had many different roles: she was a wife, a Mom, a sister, an aunt, a grandma, a friend, a coffee buddy, a community volunteer, a librarian, a seamstress, a furniture refinisher, a debater, a dancer and a singer. Mom’s proudest moments and most treasured gifts were: her family; her relationship with dad; her treasured time with her grandchildren; the friends she made as a community volunteer; the friends, the laughs and opportunities to travel as our family grew up at the ball diamond and in hockey arenas; and being able to raise 4 completely different and unique people. The door to our home was always open for people to stop by for a coffee, a meal, or for a bunk for our friends. The greatest gift mom shared with us was her love and her sense of humour. A prayer service for Theresa was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. A funeral service for Theresa was conducted from the Lashburn Community Hall, Lashburn, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Father Phong Tran officiating. Theresa’s eulogy was given by three of her children: Shelley, Allen and Geraldine. Readings were given by daughter-in-law Rene Coolidge and Granddaughter Meagan Coolidge. Music was provided by pianist and dear friend Lorna Chappell, by her son Allen and the Lashburn Community Choir. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren: Meagan, Coran, Brayden and Preston. Active pallbearers were her nephews: Dick Polinsky, Wayne MacKay, Keith Stoughton, Mark Thompson, Robbie Weismantel, Jimmy Weismantel and Johnny Weismantel. Interment will follow at the Lashburn Cemetery at a later date. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.
