B I O G R A P H Y STEVENSON: Douglas Stevenson passed away in the Jubilee Home, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the age of 88 years. Douglas is survived by: his loving wife Vera, five children: Sheila and her husband Barry, Carol, Joan and her husband Murray, Patsy, David and his wife Debbie, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one niece Grace, and one great nephew John, two step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren. Douglas was predeceased by his parents and his brother Allan and his wife Martha. The funeral service for Douglas was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, October 22, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Harold Martin officiating. The hymns sung were “There’ll Be Peace In The Valley,” and “Beyond The Sunset,” accompanied on the organ by Irene Knowlson and the Grace United Church Choir. Special CD Music “Go Rest High On That Mountain,” sung by Vince Gill was played as the recessional. Active pallbearers were: Jason Hollingsworth, Darren Carlson, Ryan Carlson, Robin Carlson, Geoff Headon and John McGerrigle. Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks Thank you to Dr. Sayeed, Kitscoty Home Care, 3rd Floor Hospital Nurses and Staff, Jubilee Home Caregivers, Nurses and Staff for everything you did for Douglas. Thank you to Reverend Harold Martin, Irene Knowlson and the choir. Special Thanks to Dave and Linda, Glenn, Dale, Dean and all the staff at McCaw’s for all the extra care and consideration. To everyone who made donations, sent flowers and food - thank you. Your thoughtfulness will always be remembered.
