Dearest Kerry and Rick, It's taken me a while to realize my Auntie Mim is gone. Her last letter to me is treasured. I know how hard it is to lose someone you love so dearly, I'm getting to be an old hand at that but knowing never makes it easier. I hope you keep all your memories of your wonderful mother alive as Anne and I have tried to do with Mom. I know she cherished the last two years with you and Rick and that her life was easier because of you. Know that you and she are in my thoughts and prayers. Much Love and God Bless Your "CUZ" Grace

Kerry, I remember all the times, all the years, and all the laughs. I'll never forget them. Mom was always an example of strength and goodness to me. I learned alot from her tenacity and courage, and the gentle compassion that came so naturally to her. Until she left us, she always had that spark, that twinkle in her eye, just bordering on mischief; and it always made me smile and wonder what was coming next. I thank God we had our last day together, and the chuckles. Even though I was just a kid when she came into my life, she will always have my utmost respect and love. She was not just special, but as I said often, timeless and unique. Don't think for one minute she won't be keeping an eye on what's going on, and reminding us all who's still the boss ! With the loss of my own mom at such an early age, I vowed then that no one would ever replace her, and no one ever has; but your mom was someone I called, " Mom"; an honor I don't give lightly. She was the ultimate prairie gal, a pioneer; tough and strong when she had to be,and soft when she thought no one was looking. And ALWAYS, like the pearls that surround the picture I gave you, classic and and unforgettable. A light may have gone out here in our lives, but will shine forever from above; doing what she always has; being there for us to look to when we need her. Wrap yourself in the warmth of this thought, my friend, and let your heart begin to heal.
