BIOGRAPHY STEVENS - Agnes Stevens passed away peacefully at the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Center, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the age of 86 years. Agnes will be sadly missed by her: loving husband Laurence of the Alcurve District, her son Bob and wife Brenda of Lloydminster and her daughter Marlene also of Lloydminster; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five sisters; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Agnes was conducted from the St. John's Anglican Church, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Michael Stonhouse officiating. A eulogy was given by Gordon Stanley. Hymns sung were “How Great Thou Art”, “Amazing Grace”, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Peace In The Valley” accompanied on the organ by Pat Skinner. Honorary pallbearers were All Her Friends. Active pallbearers were: Travis Ockenden, Dominique Boisvert, Monty Christie, Vince Richardson, Aran Jezowski and Jordan Christie. Interment was held at the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS We would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Dr. Cooke Nursing Home for their compassion. Thank you to Reverend Michael Stonhouse for his words of comfort, Pat Skinner for her music and to the pallbearers for their participation in the service. Thanks to the St. John’s Anglican Church Women for putting together such a wonderful and delicious lunch. We would also like to thank McCaw Funeral Service for their professionalism in our time of need. Thank you to all those who visited, sent cards and flowers, made donations, brought food to the house and attended the service for Agnes. Donations in memory of Agnes may be made to the Dr. Cooke Patient Comfort Fund.
