Obituary of Ella Reiber

BIOGRAPHY REIBER ~ Ella Susie Reiber passed away peacefully at the Jubilee Home in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at the age of 91 years. Ella will be sadly missed by: her loving husband Ben; one daughter Doreen Allen of Nanaimo, BC; one son Ray Reiber and his wife Alexis of Lloydminster, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one sister Nora Kennedy of Luseland, Ralph & Edith Reiber and Lenora Clark of Lloydminster, Esther Smith of Saskatoon, Hilda Reiber of Calgary as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ella was predeceased by her parents Henry & Katherine Meier, brother Harold and sisters Louise and Betty. The funeral service for Ella was conducted from the Grace United Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Anne Laird officiating. Grace United Church Choir sang “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”. Hymns sung were “How Great Thou Art”, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Amazing Grace”. Active pallbearers were Ella’s grandchildren: Brent Reiber, Manuela Reiber, Darrick Reiber, Kristy Reiber, Marnie Reiber, Brent Loney, Dione Allen and Kirsten Allen. Interment was held at the Lloydminster City Cemetery. A special thank you to Dr. Sayeed for his cure of mom, to the staff at the Jubilee Home for the special care she received, Dale McCaw for his professionalism and kindness, to Pastor Anne for her comforting words, Irene Knowlson and the United Church Choir and the UCW for the lovely lunch. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Donations in memory of Ella may be made to the Lloydminster Handivan Society, the Jubilee Home Patient Comfort Fund or to a Charity of the Donor's Choice.
