Leonard Charles Knorr 1955 – 2007 With heavy hearts the family of Leonard Charles Knorr of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan regrets to announce his passing on Saturday, January 27th, 2007. Leonard will be sadly missed by his loving wife Kathy, three children, Rachel (Randy), Rhonda (Jerry), and Conrad; seven grandchildren; his mother Joyce, brothers Laverne (Carole), David (Eileen), Ron, Wayne (Christine), Don, and sisters Carol (John) and Dianne (Blair) and numerous nieces and nephews. Leonard will also be dearly missed by Kathy’s parents and family, numerous relatives, friends and co-workers. Leonard was predeceased by his father Philip in 1993, his paternal grandparents Michael Knorr (1961) and Theresa Knorr (1960) and his maternal grandparents Parmon Cisar (1946) and Anne Cisar (1983). Leonard was born on February 8, 1955 in Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan. He was raised in St. Walburg and has lived and worked in Lloydminster most of his adult life. Leonard will be fondly remembered for his utmost devotion to his family, his zest for life, and his willingness to help anyone in need of assistance. He truly enjoyed spending time with his co-workers and friends in any coffee shop where many of the world’s problems were either solved or at least discussed at great length. Leonard took great pride in everything he did, especially working side by side with his best friend, his wife. Leonard and Kathy were inseparable and truly enjoyed every moment spent together. Time spent with his children and grandchildren was also one of Leonard’s great joys. Leonard’s quirky sense of humour and booming voice will leave a tremendous void in the lives of all who had the honour and privilege to know him. The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses on the third floor of the Lloydminster Hospital for the above and beyond care and compassion extended to Leonard during his courageous struggle with his brief battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society or the Lloydminster SPCA would be greatly appreciated. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lloydminster, Alberta. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Pentastar Energy, especially Lorne, George and Andrea for the unending care and support extended to Leonard and family. Your kindness and generosity will nit be forgotten. Thank you to all those who sent cards, flowers, food, donations and expressions of condolence. Your prayers, thoughts, and kind gestures helped to sustain us all and are greatly appreciated. Donations in memory of Leonard may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Lloydminster SPCA or to a Charity of the Donor's Choice.
