Obituary of Robert Weir

B I O G R A P H Y WEIR: Robert Thomas “Bob” Weir passed away in the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the age of 65 years. Bob is survived by his mother: Pearl Weir of Lloydminster; Brother: Don (Stephanie) Weir of Kitscoty; Niece: Carrie (Dave) Kolhruss of Lloydminster; Nephews: Duane (Heather) Weir of Regina and Tyson (Shawna) Weir of Kitscoty and families as well as numerous other uncles, aunts and cousins. The funeral service for Bob was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Joyce Carson officiating. A solo “Amazing Grace,” was sung by Marlene Risling. Hymns sung were “The Church In The Wildwood,” “Abide With Me,” and “Just As I Am,” accompanied on the organ by Donna Weston. Honorary pallbearers were all those who shared in Bob’s life. Active pallbearers were: Eric Blake, Ron Blake, Tyson Weir, Duane Weir, Gerald Popowich and Jerry Vanoni. Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.
