MAUWS: Dorothy Mauws of Kitscoty, Alberta passed away in Edmonton, Alberta on Thursday November 9, 2006 at the age of 76 years. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-eight years Ceriel of Kitscoty, seven children: Bill and Marlene of Kitscoty, Marie and Dale Pollard of Kindersley, Linda and Eric Blake of Kitscoty, Charlie and Kari Mauws of Kitscoty, Pat and Randy White of Kitscoty, Barb and Kyle Sewell of Red Deer and Dutch and Joy Mauws of Kitscoty; 18 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren; sister Helen Benner of Vermilion as well as numerous other relatives. Dorothy was predeceased by her mother and father, Elsie and Bill Johnson, sister Irene Wilkinson and brother Herman Johnson. The funeral service for Dorothy Mauws was conducted from The E H Walter School, Paradise Valley on Tuesday November 14, 2006 at 2:00P.M. with Reverend Ann McGrath officiating. Sons-in-law Dale Pollard and Kyle Sewell read the family eulogy. Dianne Womacks read the eulogy written by Robbie and Nina Greupner and Dianne Womacks. Kari Mauws and Dianne Womacks sang, “Here’s The Ball For Baby” and “Cross My Heart”. The hymns were: Amazing Grace and In The Garden accompanied on the piano by Bill Dobson. The Honorary Pallbearers were: Maureen and Stan Anderson, Nina and Robbie Greupner, Shirley and Daryl Davidson, Wendy and Gary Miller, Penny and Carl Johansson and all those in attendance. The Active Pallbearers were Grandsons: Doug Blake, Brent Blake, Rob Sewell, Kent Sewell, Gavin Sewell, Gordon Ducharme, Dustin Mauws, Shelby White and Rylan Mauws. Interment followed in The Paradise Valley Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd. of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The families of Dorothy Mauws wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for the love and kindness shown us during the recent loss of our dear wife, mother, grandma and grandma-great. Thank you to Dr. Rogers, Dr. Sayeed, staff at Lloydminster Hospital and the ambulance drivers for the care given Dorothy. Our sincere appreciation to the Staff and Students of E H Walter School for accommodating us so we could have the service in the school; to Ann McGrath, Bill Dobson and Dianne Womacks for their contribution in the celebration of Dorothy’s life. Thank you to Robbie and Nina Greupner and Dianne Womacks for the eulogy given in memory of Dot. Thank you to the Earlie Community and P.V. U.C.W. ladies for providing and serving lunch after the service. Thank you everyone for their words of comfort and generous gifts of cards, flowers, donations, food, phone calls and visits to our homes. Thank you Glenn McCaw and staff for your professionalism, sincerity and compassion.
