Dear Marilyn, Stacey, Daryl and families, We were very sad to read of Lawrence's passing when we recently returned home from a winter holiday. Our apologies for the late arrival of our condolences. We both fondly remember Lawrence as a fine colleague at the YRHS--I especially remember a yearbook trip that he and I made with a group of students to Altona, Manitoba. We braved icy March roads and blustery weather but had a fine time with our students and many laughs along the way. Management of the AP Theatre was never the same after Lawrence left the school--it was a pleasure to work with him and to enjoy his fine sense of humor. He is part of the fabric of our careers and we extend sincere sympathy to you all as you celebrate his life and honour his memory. Blessings to you for all that you need in your time of loss. Terri and Allan Mitchell

At this time, we want to recognize Laurence's exceptional service. For 20 years, he served as executive member of the Yorkton Film Festival, helping to resurrect it from near collapse in 1969. He previewed films, ran projectors and placated filmmakers, judges and volunteers. In 2012, he contributed to our 65th anniversary, donating memorabilia and answering a stream of questions about our past. An exceptional volunteer, Laurence's work is remembered and appreciated.

Aunt Marilyn, Daryl, Stacey and families, We send our love and condolences to all of you. So sad to hear of Laurence's passing, he was a very special uncle who took the time to get to know his nieces and nephews and was much loved. I remember his visits to Toronto when we were young children, he was so tall and handsome and fun to be around. He was a special brother to our mom Evelyn. He'll be dearly missed. Love from Shelley, Roger and Family

We both respected Mr. Pearson as a wonderful teacher,he taught both of us at Simpson School in Grade 7 and we have fond memories of that time as kids. We then got to know him better as adults when Len worked with him in the Yorkton School System. Lawrence was respected by both staff & students. It was a privilege and honor to know him. At this time we are in Mesa Arizona, but our thoughts are with you Marilyn as you and your family travel this highway of grief.May only good memories make it a speedy journey.
