Clifford “Cliff” Leonard Pinder passed away in the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster Alberta on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the age of 80 years.
Cliff leaves to mourn his passing: his loving and devoted wife Arlene; son Wade and his wife Elesha Pinder and his beloved grandsons Henry and Murray Pinder; son Calvin (Jackie) Pinder; Cliff also leaves his brother Art (Lorna) Pinder, sister Yvonne Albach, and nieces and nephews; Andrea (Keith) Harris, Dean Albach, Gordon Pinder, Michael (Pearl) Pinder, Jill Regan, Brent (Deanna) Pinder, and Derek Pinder.
He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Alice Pinder and by his brother and sister-in-law Fred and Marion Pinder.
Cliff was born in Lashburn, Saskatchewan and attended Forest Bank School and Lashburn High School. After completing his education he moved to Edmonton and worked for CNR Railway. In Edmonton he met his wife Arlene and they returned to settle south of Kitscoty, on her family farm where they built their life together.
Cliff was an avid lover of sports and enjoyed watching and coaching baseball and hockey. He was also active in the Kitscoty community. During his lifetime Cliff enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with friends and family. He also remained involved on the family farm, helping each year with seeding and harvest which gave him great pleasure.
After moving to Lloydminster, Cliff enjoyed many morning coffees at Tim Hortons with friends old and new.
A Private Family Service for Cilff will be held at a later date.
Donations in memory of Cliff may be made to the Northern Alberta Renal Program or to the Lloydminster Hospital Dialysis Unit.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
