Its already been too long and I'm sorry I havent said this sooner, but you know why better than I do Nicole. You knew me better than I knew myself. From the moment we became friends I fell in love with you, and knew you would always be in my heart and a huge part of my life. Over the years we were apart before high school I remember thinking about you all the time and telling the story of how we met to anyone that would listen and even to some that didn't. More than a few times I'd ride around the Martin Browne area hoping to remember where you lived, or that by chance I'd see you. I remember being excited for high school knowing that I'd find you again, cause I always hated school and if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have stayed in for anywhere close to as long as I did. Within two weeks there we were not ten feet apart outside smoking, me talking to the guys from Marshall, you talking to the friends you had since we last saw each other, and like something from a movie both of us telling the story of how we were friends so many years before, and how many times I got in so much trouble giving you those answers to that math test, even after being moved across the room in an attempt to stop me.by our 2nd grade teacher. Both realizing that we were telling the samestory at the same point and ending finishing it together. So much has happened fromall this, so many great friends we have made, so many great memories, even the bad experiences that it all took us through. I think about you day after day, I miss you so much still and always will. I wish I had been smarter and spent way more time with you, I don't know how you knew, but we all know that it should have been me first, I wanted and tried for so long to keep you as safe as I possibly could and even tho I put you in harms way a couple times I know you'd agree I did my best, and kept you safe as I was able to. I know you don't want me to cry over this, but I know you understand. And I know you're still watching over me, shaking your head, wishing you could tell me what you know I need to hear. I love you Nicole always have and always will. Thank you for being everything I needed, and I hope we can be together once again when it's my time.

I have so many memories of Nicole from "the old days" - sleepovers while a young Jill and Melissa made mud pies in the backyard, so much fun at band camp in Battleford, and forever in my mind - riding horses constantly when she came to our place. I will always think of her tall in the saddle on her favourite horse, Snowman.

My deepest sympathies go out to all of Nicoles family and friends. My first impression of Nicole and i remember going home and expressing how strong minded this girl was and it was her way or no way. However as we continuted to work with her i began to find her way usually was the best and the reasons that it wasnt love at first sight soon became the reasons i looked up to her and respected her. When i had heard that she was rushed to Edmonton for surgery i found myself sitting in her moms living room across from that same bright spirited strong happy individual. I will truly miss Nicole and all our talks about muppets halloweentown and cartoons.
