BIOGRAPHY STEWART ~ Marjorie Irene Stewart passed away peacefully in the Maidstone Health Complex, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the age of 99 years. Marjorie will be sadly missed by her sister Ethel and Don Mitchell; nieces: Dale Brook and Don Retzlaff, Sherry Connor; nephews: Barrie and Gayle Golden, Ken and Doreen Golden, Carman and Debra Currie, Bill and Marian Mitchell and all their families; special friend Jim Mitchell as well as numerous other relatives. The memorial service was conducted from the Maidstone United Church, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Ean Kasper officiating. The eulogy was read by Don Retzlaff. The Maidstone Community Choir was in attendance. The hymns sung were “In The Bulb There Is A Flower”, “I Was There To Hear Your Borning Cry” and “Beyond The Sunset” accompanied on the organ by Frances Wright. Interment was held in the Maidstone Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank the home care staff and the Pine Island Lodge staff who took such good care of Marge for the past several years. You all do your job so well with a great deal of care and compassion. Thank you also to the physicians who met her medical needs. Our thanks to Ean Kasper for the touching service, to Frances Wright and the choir for their gifts of music and to Don Retzlaff for sharing so many memories of a grand lady. Thank you to the United Church Women for preparing and serving lunch, and to all the family and friends who have sent cards, made phone calls, and donated to Pine Island Lodge and others. Thank you to Glenn McCaw and McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., for the warm and meaningful ways in which you do a very difficult job. The family of Marjorie Stewart Donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to the Pine Island Lodge or to a charity of the donors choice.
