Betty and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Elmer’s passing.
Betty, you and Elmer were great friends to my parents and I have fond memories of all us kids playing in the basement while you guys laughed, played cards, and had a cold drink upstairs. (I think my brothers and I owe you a couple hundred dollars for all the toys we broke)
On my last visit to Lloyd I was welcomed into your home and I was so glad to have the chance to visit you guys again. Elmer even made a point of staying up late so he could drive me to and from Darren’s place just to make sure I had a safe ride home. Elmer was one of the nicest, most genuine men I’ve ever met and he will be missed greatly.

Betty and Family
So sorry to hear of your loss. Elmer and you hold a special spot in our heart. He was such a genuine nice guy, his positive can do attitude, never failed to impress, always willing to lend a hand, ( or babysit me when i had concussion and Reid was out of town ) always made a special attempt to say hi and visit what a heart of gold. He will be dearly missed.
It meant so much to us that he made it down to my dad's funeral, dad thought the world of him too.
We will always remember the bonspiels, golf games, and of course the odd cool beverage, his infectious laugh and out look on life in general.
He was always someone we enjoyed meeting up with.

Betty and family
What a guy, will be sadly missed. So caring, so funny, so friendly, loved his family and friends. On a recent visit on his way from picking up his double, double, which was several times a day, Elmer pulled in for a visit. To us Elmer in a loving way was always referred to as "Ding Dong" (Bell). Elmer is my cousin and our birthdays are 1 day apart. We made a tradition of calling each other for birthday and then Christmas wishes. It didn’t matter how Elmer was feeling that day he always sounded upbeat and positive. I spoke to Elmer before Christmas this year and he still had his infectious laugh. It was a shock when I heard of his passing. He will be missed.

A co-worker, boss, camping friend (even the skunks and turtle suit) boating buddy and many coffee visits. We united at all our special family occasions. Elmer and I (M) went to a Kitty Wells concert together in Vermillion as our mates didn't care for her, we found them out with some college kids after the show. Good Times.
Elmer had a heart of gold and the most joyous laugh. We will truly miss our yearly Birthday phone calls.
The love for his family was out of this world. Our hearts break for you Betty and family, may you find comfort in all your wonderful memories.
He will surly be missed by all of us.

I am sadenned by this news. I did not ‘know’ Elmer, we have however ‘waved’ at each other on the weekly for years.....and years, and years. He and I have actually ‘ran in the same hood’ give or take 10 years for at least 40 of them.
