Larry was a very kind & caring neighbor to Garth and I for over 10 years. He taught us about fishing, and cleaning fish. Gardening and and where to find great deals on stuff. We have so many wonderful memories of little moments in our neighborhood and great laughs. We miss him and reminisce about him regularly. Couldn’t have asked for a better neighbour and buddy to Garth growing up. We moved away 3 years ago to the Saskatchewan/Manitoba border. I am very sorry we lost touch and sorry to hear of his loss. Our condolences to his family.

Larry was the same age as my brother Raymond McLean. I remember very well the Muchowski General Store not far from the Exhibition Grounds. I also recall vividly what a terrific skater and hockey player he was and I always thought he might make it to junior hockey and the NHL like Garnet Bailey and Barry Gibbs and the NHL but perhaps for Larry family was the best and natural choice. No doubt we used the same pond just off Highway 16 behind a hill near a stand of trees and where we also built small fires to warm up our skates and toes. In today’s world we’d have been chased away. Condolences to his family and blessings for his wonderful devotion to his mother.
I'm sorry to hear of Larrys passing. I worked with Larry at Nelson Lumber. He had a great work ethic and was always prepared to lend a hand when needed. Whenever I would see him in recent years he still would make the time for a talk and to ask about old co-workers
