Obituary of Ed King

Alan "Ed" Edward King passed away at Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the age of 88 years.

Ed was born in Lloydminster and spent most of his life here. He loved playing hockey and baseball in his younger days and would watch pretty much any sport. He was happiest on the acreage he shared with Mom where horses were always found. As much as he loved being at home, he did like to get away and felt fortunate he and Mom traveled so much before her death. Afterwards, we were all lucky that he was excited to join us on our travels. We will miss him.

Ed is survived by: his children, Tracy (former spouse Kerry Boyd), Sharla (former spouse Vang Ioannides) and Darren (Mariam Gill); his grandchildren, Melina Ioannides, Meaghan Boyd,  Eamon Boyd and Evelina King. 

Ed was predeceased by: his loving wife of 49 years, Joan.

A private family service will be held in memory of Ed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
