So sorry to hear of Doris’ passing. Doris and Wes were our neighbours on 57A Avenue. I remember her and Wes loading up in the car to go for Wes’ dialysis treatment. We met again when my Mom was in the Pioneer House at the same time Doris was.
Doris will be missed. The dialysis unit in Lloydminster is one of her legacies.

As a newborn, she was unconscious to me.
As a child, she was unaware to me.
As a teen, she was unfamiliar to me.
As a young adult, she was uncertain to me.
As an adult, she was unprecedented to me.
As a mom, she welcomed me to another family tree.
As a granddaughter, she became dear to me.
As an experienced mom, she became a blessing to me.
As a granddaughter from a far… she became a treasured gem.
Forever grateful, I thank Doris for loving me, till the end.

So sorry to hear of Doris passing. I have memories of being neighbors in Chauvin and living with her and Wes when I first moved to Lloyd to work. She always had a big smile and a friendly hello whenever I’d see her at the Lodge.
