I have so many good memories of the time I spent with Debbie. We spent many weekends and summer holiday camping at Elbow, and a few trips to Wakaw. Deb would borrow her parents camper and join our family at the lake. She and I both loved to be in the water so many hours were spent swimming and we both loved to read, so when we weren’t in the water we were sitting on the beach reading books. We had many laughs around the campfire each evening.
We spend time at each other’s homes and got together to go out for supper.
Debbie would tell me about any family events and always had tales about her 4 older brothers and all their antics. She shared the proud moments and accomplishments of all her nieces and nephews. She deeply cared about all her extended family.
Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to all her many family members, especially her mother and brothers. Debbie will be missed.

Sincere sympathy to all of Deb’s family. I got to know Deb when she lived in Saskatoon as my sister’s tenant. Cyndy and Deb became close friends then and stayed in touch after both moved home. May she Rest In Peace. Susan (Banga) Protz

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Deb. I enjoyed working with Deb at SaskTel and we had many great laughs and memories of our time there. When we would run into each other after she left SaskTel it was like we never missed any time being together. She had a way of making you feel very at ease and comfortable around her. She will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all Deb's family. Jim and Cindy McClelland

I am so sorry to learn of Deb's passing. We were second cousins and shared a love of genealogy. Although we exchanged correspondence in the mid 1980s, we only met for the first time at the Abernethy reunion in Wainwright in 2017. We spent most of the next day together sharing family stats and photos. We had a lovely time and had kept in touch. More recently Deb helped me locate and order, for each of us, a history book that included our family. I shall miss her. RIP Deb. My sincere condolences to Olive and all the family.
Sincerely
Adele & Bill Friend, Vernon, BC

Olive & family: Our sincere condolences on Debbie's passing. May she rest in peace. As our family learned this summer, we don't ever really know how much time we have with loved ones on earth. I will take comfort knowing that Debbie and Delaine are likely talking politics, talking baseball, and trading patterns. When all of that is done, they'll start an epic game of 9-5-2 with Bev. Debbie took the time to call me this summer when mom passed away, and I was very glad to have a chance to catch up with her. We will keep you all in our thoughts during the challenging days ahead.

Olive and Family,
Debbie had such a bubbly personality and witty sense of humour but she was not shy to 'call a spade a spade' either. I had a wonderful lengthy conversation with her not too long ago and am thankful for that. My thoughts are with you all at this time.
Take care, love Leah.

Oh, the stories she would tell! Big personality, big laugh, big heart that is gone too soon. She will be missed.

Aunty Olive
Debbie was an eccentric person, she was loud at times but she was a kind soul. She will a few things on her brothers when they get to heaven. Think of all your memories and hold them tight. She will be missed for sure
