It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harold "Scotty" Wiltermuth at Maidstone Health Complex, Maidstone, Saskatchewan, on March 3, 2022 at the age of 97 years.

 

Scotty grew up and farmed in Tebo Corner District, north of Maidstone, until he retired and moved to the Town of Maidstone in 1984, where he remained until his passing.

 

Scotty is survived by: his nine children, Dewayne Wiltermuth and family, Audrey (Ted) Kent and family, Margaret (Dave) Fayter and family, Judy (Mike) Grier and family, Rick (Lori) Wiltermuth and family, Barb (Gerry) Borzel and family, Randy (Sharon) Wiltermuth and family, Terry (Sandy) Wiltermuth and family and Della (Dennis) Herbert and family; and Scotty was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

Scotty is predeceased by: his wife, Frances "Curly" Wiltermuth; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Wiltermuth; and two grandsons, Todd Wiltermuth and Justin Herbert.

 

Scotty loved life and people. He worked with horses, did woodworking, leather tooling, cowboy poetry, dealing vehicles, and cooking. He was a man of many interests and talents. His passing will leave a huge void in the hearts and lives of so many people who knew him and loved him. He will be greatly missed. 

 

The family plans to hold a private gathering this summer to remember and honour him.
