I was out of touch with Norm as we ended up going seperate ways after working together at Albian and only recently learned of his passing. Working away from my family as I was back than, Norm was one of the few people to invite me to his house with his family to watch football. Not knowing of his passing I recently left a answering machine message to try to recruite him to work here at Joffree as he was a awesome guy to work with

I as well was a fellow highschool graduate of Normans, it doesn't seem that long ago when you could almost always catch Norman hurling himself across desks to catch a football/eraser or whatever was thrown his way...His laughter and smile will forever be etched upon my heart. My deepest sympathies to Stacey/his children and all of his family, may you find Peace through this time of grief. Roxanne

Stacey, Rebecca, Coutney, Garrett & Tyler and the Gerwing Family. We cannot express the sorrow we feel with the passing of Norm. It was his small town roots and coming from a wonderful family that allowed him to share the best of himself with everyone. The hole that is left in our hearts cannot be filled. We hope that there is some peace in your hearts for the good times you have shared that will remain with you for the rest of your lives. Stacey we will continue to pray to God and ask him to give you the strength you need day in and day out to care for those four little Angels. Fred, Marie and ALL of Norman's brothers and sisters take solace that so many of us care for you all in your time of sorrow. Our sincerest thoughts and prayers.

Stacey, Rebecca, Courtney, Garrett, Tyler and Families; We are deeply saddened, and so sorry for your loss of such a genuine loved one. Norman was a good friend and co-worker of mine, at an oil sands facility in Fort McMurray. We shared so many laughs and good times while working together as control room partners, as well as the occasional outdoor activity on days off. I will always remember his easygoing demeanor, smiling face, and love/pride that he felt for his family whom he talked about often. After having the chance to meet such nice people as Norm's extended family last week, I can easily see how he was groomed into being the well-liked good guy that he was. May God take good care of you all, and give you the strength required to see you through this very difficult time in your lives. You will be so sadly missed by many "Normy", but the good memories that you have left behind for everyone who knew you...will generate smiles for a lifetime :-) Sincerely, Dan, Dara & Sarah Sprague Quispamsis, New Brunswick

I have to make a correction to my "Pittsburg Penguins" reference. Wasn't thinking straight till after I sent it. I know that Norman really was a Philadelphia Flyers fan. I'm sure he is laughing at me right now. Sorry about that.
