Our deepest sympathy to Shannon, Matt and families. Fred was Mom’s cousin. I have very fond memories of their visits to the farm in Little Smoky and our visits to their home in Edmonton. Fred and Nellie were so kind to our sister, Neta. After Mom passed away, Fred and Dad continued to have many telephone conversations which Dad really enjoyed. One afternoon, I got a call from Fred. Did I think I could make him a potato bag like the one Mom had made him for his microwave…he would pay me. I told him, I will make you one, but you will not pay me! I did make him that bag and he was so tickled. After Dad passed away, Fred and I continued with phone visits a couple of times a year to catch up on family. The last time we spoke this year, it was an hour with me and then another hour with Dale discussing machinery and welding and areas in the north they had both worked. I am going to miss those calls!
